hi, i used to have 6600, 6630 etc and i am used to creating different folders for my images.
got a 2 gig memory card this morning and transfered all my pics from my computer onto my n95.
i know that you can create folders for images, but if i delete the image from the gallery after moving it to a folder it deletes it from both.
the thing is, i have over 200 images ranging from my hubby to my son, and yes they are fine in the seperate folders, the only thing is i dont want them in the gallery too, seems a bit stupid really, is there anyway to delete everything from gallery and still keep them in the relevant folders? i dont see the point in having the images in both at the same time, it defeats the object of making folders. the way it is im finding it hard when people ask to see my son and i have to scroll through every pic to find it in gallery!

All the Gallery application does is show all of the pictures you have stored on your phone memory and memory card no matter how many folders you have organised them into. There's no way to organise pictures in the gallery I'm afraid, it's pretty useless. Maybe something will show up in another firmware release!

ok thanks for answering...it was so much better on the 6630 just opening the gallery to see all your folders instead of how it is now, bit pointless really lol

Yeah, a few times I've been handed a phone by someone to look at some pictures and when I've gone to the next picture it's been something totally embarrassing. Would be good to be able exclude or create folders somehow!

Use a file browser like FExplorer to set the folders attributes to hidden. Then the files don't show up in gallery.

I agree, the gallery is a duff feature if you have a load of shots/vids stored; it makes it such a yawn finding stuff.

There is a app which locks stuff away but I think it's shot up in price recently, I don't know if there are any others although FExporer sounds interesting.
