Does anyone know if there's any program wich can share internet connection of my pc with the nokia 7650 Symbian OS over bluetooth?
So I can send/receive mails, upload picturs and surf for free when I'm home.
Anyone knows such a program and can verify for sure that it works?
I'll buy it if I find a working demo version 😊
I searched the formum but I didn't find any answers for now and I think someone mentioned it before....

I tried it using my IR port and it works fine for mail (only thing i tested so far)
I got another question now: Bluetooth will work 10m far
But will it go throu walls? So if I install an USB Bluetoth adaptor on a PC, I can connect my nokia 7650 no matter where I am in the house? Or do I have to stay in the same room of the PC?

Bluetooth will work through walls, but at lesser range.
I've found that most of the time I have to be in the same room, although you can step a little way into the next room and not need lign of sight

i can surf the net while im taking a shit through 2 walls at a distance of about 5 metres
I guess it depends on the quality of your bluetooth device.
I saw cheap bluetooth usb devices for 30� but the description said: works only 3m far. Then other devices with a price of 50�-70� can go up to 12m.
So i gues you just need to read the description on the box before you buy it. I'd rather choose the one that goes far even if i have to pay 30� more. Then I'll be sure I can use it at home wherever I want to be.

i think the limiter to your bluetooth range is not your bluetooth on pc
its the bluetooth on your phone
a USB connector can only draw 500ma power max from USB port (or something like that) which gives them a range of approx 10 metres
an internal bluetooth card has a more powerful range coz it can draw more power from pc, but still limited by your phones bluetooth range
Well,it depends on both of them.
The bluetooth chip on the 7650 has a range of 13 meters at best.
On you pc you can have large variety of bluetooth devices (class 1,2 and 3)
The best ones have range over 200 meters.
