Hi, I wonder if someone can help with a little problem I've
got. I
re-formatted my communicator and moved applications to the
d-drive. For
your info, I reinstalled the all_nokia_9210_data.sis on the
d-drive.
Since then I lost the original colour palatte colour schemes
(Nokia/Spider/Jungle/Graphite) and instead got access to a
set of very
simple boaring ones (Blue/red/green/grey). (N.B. FYI the
background
patterns instead are all still there)Does anyone know how I
can re-install
the original colour palette's??? Please help.
regards, Andrea
Display Settings - Colour Palette
Hi,
This is very strange because i never had 'Nokia/Spider/Jungle/Graphite'. If you still have it, can you post it here, plz?
Then this would be strange also because those colours are in the ROM normally
Thx,
Jan
It is strange. You will find them even mentioned on the Communicator Instruction Manual under Display Settings.
Unfortunately, I don't have them anymore (since I re-formated the cdrive), that's why I posted this message.
Ciao,
Andrea
I member that i have those schemes when i have 3.18 firmware.. Now i just notice that those have gone whit upgrading to 3.54 (when upgrading, it also upgrades c drive)
I have to check another 9210 with 3.18..
I'll be back...
Well, if this a difference in SW versions they should be on the cd that comes with the 3.18 version. Those cd's seem to be different.
There is no specific installation file for this display colour palette settings on the cd-rom and on top of that I installed all_nokia_9210_data.sis file, so they should have been on that if anything.
oki, but did you download it or from cd?
I never downloaded it and is not from the cd. They were present on the comminicator when I first bought it and then disappeared once I re-formatted the cdrive.
i mean "all_nokia_9210_data.sis"
gotcha.....it's the latest (i think) version from Nokia forum and therefore downloaded.... I see what you're comming at....
indeed ![]()
normally it's on your cd too, install that one, and let me know ![]()

Jan,
Thanks, but I think I won't. I'm sure that if I revert to an older version of all_nokia_9210_data.sis I'll end up installing older versions of other applications (e.g. FileManager, Clock, etc). Between newer applications and getting back those colour palette's, I'll choose the former....
Thanks a lot anyway for your help.
Ciao,
Andrea
well, i can see that on forum nokia they advice you to use the cd for 3.18. i think this has some reason! BTW i just looked into display.app and it points at 2 mbm's display.mbm (it DOESN'T contain colorpallete) and an mbm in rom. So that's why this is strange. if you install all_data you don't and can't change anything in ROM so this proves it's in an mbm, but then again this app uses only on other mbm taht doesn't contain them!
strange
very weired... the mysteries of the communcator... they just don't stop!!!
i know there was a bug in display settings in 3.18 so i'm beginning to think that display.app is totally different for 3.54. For example that display.mbm on 3.18 DOES contain the colorpalette, but that they changed it for v3.54.
Yikes I thought I kept a close eye on the forum, but this thread has really gotten away from me... Forum generally is getting busier which has got to be good ![]()
I'm afraid I cant help much with this. I had a look through various doucmentation and nothing. Couldn't find any files in the emulator either relating to this. The only thing I found rleating to display was z\system\controls\crydisplay.*
Sorry
Rafe
hehe, np Rafe.
display.ctl points to z\System\Data\ckon.mbm. At least on my 3.54
Hi,
Look guys, thank you so much for having tried to figure this one out, I really appreciate your help. I think that the fact that this function is not available on vs 3.54 says it all!
Thanks a lot anyway,

Andrea
