Wi-Fi speed at Nokia phones in real life test.

Nokia claims that some of new E and N series smartphones supports Wi-Fi 802.11g (54 Mbps)

The real life test shows that it is not true, at least not for speed!

Even in ideal condition it is never been higher than... guess what? 802.11b (11Mbps) !

Article named as "Wi-Fi. Finding speed... (Wi-Fi speed analysis of some Nokia smartphones)."
could be found at web site of Telexy Networks Inc. ( Telexy.com ). Here is direct link to that article:

What is your experience with real life Wi-Fi speed for Nokia N91 smartphone?

Maybe the problem is HDD...

In some test I comproved HDD speed and is too low, isn't faster than 1 MBps and that fact could limitate download speed...

Thanks anyway for the link, I'll chek it now 😃

What HDD do you mean? Computer HDD or phone HDD?
... Any way. If you would read that article you will see that they did some tests even without actual writing received information on any HDD ! They even turned off all confirmations and delays on some tests. Just sending and nothing else!
That means that if in thier test they were able to get speed only slightly more then 550 Kbs (Kilobyte per second), then in real life realistically one should expect maximum around 350 Kbps. Its steel not bad though, for phone I mean.
