I've just installed Truphone after installing Fring. I assume you have to use the TruWiz every time you wish to turn it on? Anyway, sometimes it doesn't connect with my home network (all other apps do just fine) so I only get a successful message maybe once out of every five (either WLan could not be established, or contact Truphone message). However, even if the connection stays up there is nothing to suggest it is working.... If have no extra features whatsoever.
My phone is an upgraded Orange. (Current FW)
Cheers
Truphone will not work on a phone with Orange firmware due to the "Internet Telephone" settings being disabled.
The only way to use it is in conjunction with Fring and when I tried that I could only get outgoing calls to work not incoming.
Check on http://www.mobilevoipforum.com for the thread on using Fring with Truphone.

Ah, thanks Neil. I thought I read that upgrading the FW allowed this to work. Another chap on an "Orange FW upgrade" thread seemed to suggest he'd upgraded and TruPhone was working just fine.
From what you've said you have had your Orange firmware upgraded to the latest Orange firmware?
The other chap that "upgraded" his firmware has probably changed it to the generic non-branded firmware which means that Truphone will work - this does however void the warranty.
Neil
Sorry, I meant I upgraded to generic software.
In this case I'm really not sure what is going on. As I say TruPhone has real trouble connecting to my homw network whereas Fring, Web etc don't.

I would suggest contacting Truphone support. They are very good and generally get back to you within the same day.
