i have been trying to stream clips from tiny tube to my phone and keep geting a message up saying 'not enough bandwidth check network settings'
tried to speak with t-mobile about it and the girl said that i will not be able to stream clips from tiny tube unless i get the web and walk plus at an extra 12.50 a month.
that cant be right can it?
is it really the case that with unlimited (?) web and walk i can browse as much as i like but am not allowed to stream clips because of the amount of information involved?
How are you connecting to the internet via WAP or GPRS or what.

just by the normal method, i am not in a 3g area so dont get the faster download
someone must be able to explain this to me?
It is necessary to have a certain "bandwidth" or speed of conection available to stream video's, although they do vary. I would say if you don't have a 3G signal you would be struggling to stream via GPRS as it's not a very fast connection. This would almost certainly be your issue.
Oh and BTW, it's not an extra £12.50 a month it's only £12.50 a month and it wouldn't have fixed the problem anyway. You need to be careful with some of these CS operatives, they are not always that clued up on the network side of things.
thing is that when i was out and about i found i had a 3g signal so tried it again only to find i still had the same problem.
T-mobile say its because of the package i am on (web and walk) and that i need web and walk plus to get this working?

what the t-mobile rep has told you is a total lie. The web and walk package will not offer you increased bandwidth - period. It will allow a larger amount of data transfer at a fixed rate but it will not effect your bandwidth.
Sometimes the term "bandwidth" can be confused to mean either the speed of data transfer - eg the bandwidth of your internet connection is 100KBps or the bandwith used by your phone is 20GB per month. In your case, it is most probably referring to the speed of your connection. If your using GPRS - this probably isn't fast enough to sustain any streaming media.
Agreed, you may struggle with streaming over anything less than a full strength 3G signal. Try it on WiFi, that whould have no bandwidth problems so you can isolate the issue.
if that was the case i would understand it but i found myself in a 3g are the other day and did a speed test on orb and found that the speed was 600+kbs. great i thought i should now get quality streaming. alas no still got the same message.
so why is that?
The reason your need web and walk plus is becuase the standard web and walk does not let you use streaming, im, voip etc.
Its on the fair use policy http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/personal/pages.do/orphans/fairuse?WT.mc_id=fairuse&deeplink=fairuse
It says that but I still use IM on mine with no issues, and i have connected to voip just to try it, and it works ok too, but i usually use that with wifi obviously 😊
As a matter of interest i also use Vimio TV streaming on mine, which also works with no problems, and i only have web and walk standard.
