I am pretty new to smart phone and I am really amazed by the phone of such a mini laptop it is and what potential it has.

I am browsing the web for all sort of useful/interesting software. Sadly there are so many small time developers and they came up with crappy and unstable software that is really time wasting.

Like to hear from you guys what are the useful applications that you have in your phone.

Can we get some link to these software thanks????

Best software? Give Viewranger a try (I am a newbie so can't post URL's yet, but a UK Google search will get you there I'm sure)
It is OS mapping and GPS software for Series 60 smartphones. They do a specific version for the N95 which makes full use of the internal GPS - although it is nowhere near as sensitive as a seperate Bluetooth unit.
You can get a demo version free, and all or part of the UK is available to buy at 1:25k 1:50k etc. It really is a fantastic piece of software, and makes the N95 truly useful to the outdoor type. I'd go further and say it makes a S60 phone into a better GPS than most commercially available handheld GPS units.

Could people please list whether this software is free or not?

Thanks...

best software is something... REALLY useful is something else.

I have on mine - AND I USE THEM:

• Profimail - great pop3/imap email manager
• MobiReader - fantastic eBook reader - although they should keep backlight on.
• SmartMovie - Xvid and Divx videos on your screen - and on your telly.
• WorldMate - nothing better to check weather, flight time, currencies and world time.
• nSysInfo - good to show you all info about your phone.
• photoRite - a lot of funny stuff to make photos with camera. big laugh.
• AgileMessenger - cute and full of stuff for mobile msn - pricey as hell tho.
• TurboMessenger - basic messenger, really basic AND FREE.
• Y-Browser - no better file explorer yet.

Thought I could mention some from s60 1st/2nd that would be good to have'em back:

• FExplorer - great file manager
• OggPlay - great music player (someone said it's now out for N95, didn't check yet)
• ReadM - best ebook reader i ever seen
• Backup Contacts - import and export contacts in VCF was never easier
• CallCheater - to pretend you're somewhere you're not
• SlovoEd - Dictionaries
• LookUp - Look up numbers on your contacts list

and games!: railrider, prince of persia, skyforce (love it) snakes 3D - with bluetooth capabilities...

if anyone knows/has versions of these progs for symbian 3rd give me a shout!

😉

If you look for a good (and free 😉 Rss software for your phone, try
SubliMobi Rss reader (sublimobi.com).

The latest best new installation is

Windows Messenger Live for Mobile.

I made me uninstalled Fring immediately

Check it out!

Do you know if WorldMate is free or should I buy it?

Great, I'm happy to have this program again.
Are there any other programs designed for E90
that will work for N95 as well,
e.g. this text-to-speach reader or Global Race game?

I have some questions about Windows Live Messenger?
Could anybody tell me how I can sign in?
Should I have an e-mail account in hotmail?
Or can I use any e-mail account?
Is this program free?
