try to download .exe but "not supported"

Is there an override for this? I know it's not supported but just want to make use of the GPRS connection to download a file for my pc. should be allowed to do that.

On N95 it won't let you do it, hoping that a sortware upgrade will sort it, anyone know if ver 11.00.26 sorts this problem out?

Totally unacceptable to me for nokia to restrict which contents types I can download. If you don't understand it then let me save it somewhere since then I can take it off using mass storage later.

U can download anything if u use opera web browser from www.opera.com, and it saves the file to the drive of ur choice, i use it for my downloads on the n95, very handy

It would appear that Mini opera has to call into the S60 browser to download this type of file. WTF? Which of course results in the "Not supported" alert.

Any ideas why the flash comes out Red in Video? I was dissapointed with the N73s flash strength in Video but this is appaling...

This downloading problem was the same on my N93 (may have been N80, i can't remember now) but i do know that as soon as i upgraded the software to the new one, it became available to save or open the file. So possibly a software upgrade may do the trick. Only other option is, as previously stated, download opera.

I have the latest software and it still gives "not supported" when downloading anything other than a recognised file
