"N93i high video quality capture & h264 " on n73 ??

I think there's a way to improve owr n73 video capture quality : it's recording medium quality videos (h263 15fps), and i think we can reach the high video quality capture (h264 30fps) like the n93i, which is so SO better quality!! seeing the optics are the same...

I think there is a way, by usin an additionnal application, or an unofficial firmware update which would use the n93i capture soft!?!
For sure it's possible (even if the quality will be a bit lower than the real n93i (optical zoom), it will be a better video quality (h264 30fps) than now !!

If anyone has any informations, ideas, suggests for improving the n73 video capture and the h264 playback..
We just have to find a high skilled n73 owner ^^ who could separate n93i capture soft and tranfsform it to an application or build it in an update

sorry for my poor english 😉

Peace u all

(i remind my goal, improvin videocapture quality : h263/320*280/15fps >>> h264/640*480/30fps)

Now, i'm lookin for all files in the phone related to the video conversion to replace 'em by n93i ones...

z:\resource\VidRecMediaDevRsc.rsc
z:\resource\Plugins\VideoEncoderSocket_Dyn.dll5l

I think these are the main files

??
z:\resource\Plugins\encode_common.dll55l
z:\resource\Convert\10002824.RSC & 10002823.RSC
??

If anyone has seen other useful files for video conversion or wanted to suggest anything could help me.. You're welcome!!

i'm askin these files in n93 topic and try it as soon as anybody posted it

nj7 thats what i was thinking, but hey maybe he could put them in the memory card and make the camera software reads its data from the memorycard or something just like installing New fonts!! its an idea, i dont know!

You're right,
N73 has all the requsite hardware to do so.
In fact even the crappy nokia 6233 record VGA Video from its 2Mp cam:frown:

Nokia,by their famous habit,Lock things up intentianally to place phones in different segments.I won't hesitate to call nokia as one of the younger Cousins the way they act...They care for their profits..and just that!😡

Alas,Nokia firmware are locked and we can't edit them.I had alot of fun with my SonyE w800 and the FARmanager, but that won't work here.

Maybe if you wok for nokia and have access to their Flashing dock,We may see some hope!

It uses the same camera as N73- Autofocus Carl Zeiss 3.2MP
And SUPPORTS VGA video recording.

Its all Nokia politics.:icon13:
dammit i am never buying nokia again 😡

Oh come on, grow up, get a grip.

The 3600 slide isn't a symbian phone, not even slightly comparable. The N73 is an older product, you don't expect them to update it with all the latest and greatest updates, do you? It was a huge surprise for them to add on A2DP!

Hello there,
Kindly limit your additions with respect to the Mission of this thread...
I was just trying to compare 3600Slid and N73 on hardware basis, Both have exact same Camera. 3600 also supports VGAt recording.

The point of my post was,Nokia artifiically locked the potential of N73.
