Wi-Fi speed reality of Nokia smart phones.

In description of new E and N series smartphones there is a line that stated "Wi-Fi 802.11g (up to 54 Mbps)"
In this case looks like its more about compatability or something else, but not about speed gain for the phone.
The real life test shows that it is hard to see any real speed improvements even comparing to 802.11b (up to 11 Mbps)!
In fact, even in close to ideal condition it never been higher than... guess what? 802.11b range!

So, that "g" in this case means anything but file speed improvements for particular phone use.

Article named as "Wi-Fi. Finding speed... (Wi-Fi speed analysis of some Nokia smartphones)."
could be found at web site of Telexy Networks Inc. ( Telexy.com ). Here is the direct link to that article:

What is your experience with real life Wi-Fi speed for Nokia smartphone?
Should we all wait for WiMAX to enjoy at least some speed improvement?

P.S. This kind of article, with real life Wi-Fi speed test result of Nokia smartphone are quite rare on Internet.
Actually, I didn't find anything else. So if you have some links with such real life test articles, please do share. Thank.
