i am in the midst of migrating my data over.
it's had been a painful experience.
lot's of questions to ask.
i have managed to transfer my palm desktop to ms outlook and sync the data to the e61i
1) how do i transfer category to e61i group ?
1a) the easiest way i can see now is to make the stuff in say friends category with a special char (i.e. >😉 and then mark all these > in e61i and transfer to group friend.
however, is there an easier way to label/prefix my contacts with the special char in outlook ? (right now i have to do it manually. duh)
2) this group thingy on e61i... does it sync back to outlook category ?

didn't know that pim in symbian sux so badly 😞

anyway.
this is a possible workaround...
(i need a bit help here because i can't think thru this clearly..)
you can create contact folders in outlook.
so you move your "firends" category to a sub folder in contact.
then with phone that has no data, you sync that particular friend subfolder only.
(via sync setting in pc suite)
once the data is in your phone, you group everything as friends.
(via mark all)
viola. you have a friends category turned into group !
but... how do you do it for multiple categories ??????
