Ending calls with slider?

Hi can anyone tell me if you can end calls by closing the slider? Everytime I end a call I have to push the end call button after closing the slider which is quite annoying!
Overall, this phone is quite slick but I'm also extremely annoyed with the battery life! I barely get 2 days on standby and am afraid to use any of its features because it means I have to carry a charger around with me everywhere!!! 😡

Search!!!

At the moment you can't end a call with the slider but future firmware may remedy this.

Since installing TruPhone my calls are ended by closing the slider, even when a call is taken over the GSM network.

My N95 is simlocked to vadafone but has been debranded and the firmware upgraded.

Thanks guys looks like TruPhone is the way to go then.

But what about the battery issues - are there any fixes? My phone went dead today after just over 30 hours on standby!!!! 😡 😡

I am seriously considering sending the phone back to T-Mobile and downgrading to something else because of the battery life....unless someone can prove me wrong?? :con?

I get over three days of battery life on standby with a couple of calls and about 20 mins of browsing during that time.

Mind you, I have wifi roaming off,am not using 3G and don't have either Truephone or Fring running unless I need to use them that instant.

The only ways to reduce battery consumption are the usuals. Switch off wifi scanning, switch off bluetooth and make sure you aren't leaving apps open (hold the app key down to see whats open and kill it).
I get 3 days out of a full charge under normal use as long as I only use things like wifi, gps or bluetooth when I actually need them. Unfortunately keeping truphone connected will kill your battery as it keeps the wifi connection on too.

Thanks for the tip on checking which application is open :icon14: - I found that the music player was on even though I closed it down last night! I think I can live with 3 days on standby, although I do admit to calling T-mobile last night to send me out a returns envelope to send the phone back. Everywhere I've read so tells me that this phone will barely last a day on a full charge which is quite alarming because I like to have a phone that will at least hold its charge because I'd hate the battery to die when I need an urgent call, rather than worry that I couldn't listen to my mp3's on the way home! :frown:
