Hi,
Read from the forum that many N95 wifi users often has this "no gateway reply" as well as "disconnected" problems. Some reasons for these are somehow related to the various brand of wireless router being used.
I'm starting a thread to gather information as to which brand and model of wireless router give the least problem getting connected to the Wifi on N95.
Do share with us your experience if you have a rock solid connection to your wireless router. And let us all have the chance to look for a better wireless router if we decided to get one. :icon14:
Many Thanks.

i'm using linksys wrt54g...never had any problems 😊
I use a Thomson Speed Touch 585 with WPA - no problems.
From my experience as a Computer Technician, i would say definately get a Netgear Router. I have one at home using my N95 with it and no problems what so ever. Picks it up instantly and works flawless, no connection drop outs or problems.
Also, i would advice not to get a Linksys router by any means! I know they are a division of Cisco, but i've had at least half a dozen different Linksys routers just randomly stop working after about a month (be it Wireless or internal Ethernet). A firmware update has fixed a few of them temporarily though. I had one before i got the Netgear router and it was rubbish, kept disconnecting the internet for the month i had it, then stopped working all together! :icon13:
i use a thompson speedtouch 585 as well as previous poster also with WEP no problems with an N80 or N95 good signal even upstairs about 20 M away through re-enforced concrete(cyprus is in an eartquake zone so houses have to be very strong!!)

I use this one too, with no problems 😃
I use the Apple Airport Extreme with WPA2 and it works perfectly. It even keeps the connection out in the back garden.

I agree, been using a Netgear router for 2 years with my home PC, laptop, and both N80 and N95 handset - problem free access. :icon14:
I have the free Orange Livebox which works without a problem
I have a Billion BiPAC5200G and so far no joy. Tried the power save fix, manual configuration and a few other things I've read around but nothing yet.
Anyone had any sucess with this router? Has the latest firmware upgrade solved anyones issues? Any ideas much appreciated.
Netgear DG834G works well with mine 😊
net gear WNR834B works great here 😊
speedtouch 585 here with no problems
One of those free white accesspoints from fon, connected to the internet through ics on my computer... 😊 I had the problems you mention until i disabled wlan power saving mode in the phone, since then it works a treat. Maybe something to look into.
BT Home Hub for the last month. Absolutely flawless. It also supports UPNP which will be nice if I can ever figure out what it is and how to use it!
Using Linksys WRT54GX and have had a lot of problems saying something like "Invalid WPA key.." (although I'm 100% sure it's right). Sometimes worked, sometimes not. Really anoying.
Maybe I have figured it out now, can't confirm yet, but I was using a fairly long PSK (24 characters). Shortend it down to 14 chars yesterday and hadn't had any problems since.
