finaly got it to work..almost. got my wep key and my n95 finds my WLAN but when i try to connect i says no gateway reply an then it doesnt find it and then it does find it?????tried the advanced settings i read in a previous post aswell and still no joy! also ocasionaly a small padlock appers next to the wireless symbol on my n95.stressing out guys! any ideas?

tools / settings / connection / access points / findthe one you made / options / edit / WLAN Security mode .. WEP..
go back up and set WLAN security settings .. Authentication = shared .. WEP key .. I leave it to you

also my wep key is alot longer than what is allowed to be keyed in on the phone?no joy with the shared setting either?
Sounds like you haveit either set to hex instead of alphanumeric (or the other way round, or it's set for 256 rather than 125 bit key, which needs more characters.
Also worth noting that some routers don't play well with smartphones - I had the same symptoms as you with my new Belkin router - solution was to change it for a Linksys one, which works fine. 8-)

should my wep key be 30 odd digits long? really confused here an have no idea!been at it for hours now! i had to get a program to recover my wep address as it was hidden
