In the penultimate part of my big Nokia E90 Communicator review, I look in detail at the surprisingly good stills and video camera, plus I try video and music playback. After all, all work and no play makes Steve a very dull boy etc....
Read on in the full article.
Nice review, but I thought the A2DP support had been removed...?
Seemed to work OK on the current firmware.... 8-)

Audio sync. seamed quite bad (terrible actually) on the video you included.
Any further info on this. Does it play in sync. on the Nokia itself for example. It could just be my codec or something. If not, can you let Nokia know, so they can fix it quick 😊
By the way, the video was actually very good.
Ref. the camera button not mapped to camera start up. Wonder if this is because you don't want to trigger it by accident in a business env. Many sites have strict official camera policies, but tend to turn a blind eye to camera phones. Being caught actually operating the camera (by accident) would be a different matter perhaps.
Excellent articles by the way. Many Thanks.

I notice the audio seemed slightly out of sync too (perhaps 0.3 second of lag). But I don't normally play MP4 files, so I don't know if the Nokia Multimedia Player is to blame...
I noticed there's something black covering the lower right corner in the video. Where does this come from? Too bad about the audio sync in the video clip.
Best regards,
Thomas
Hmm..... the clip plays fine, sync-wise, on Quicktime Player here. Note that although the clip is 'raw' in that I haven't processed it, it *was* cropped with the N95, to remove a false start etc - this may have tampered with audio indexes etc.
No idea about the small triangle at the bottom right, probably also an artefact of the Edit process on the N95?
Glad you guys are paying attention anyway!!!!!!
Great stuff, I check in daily to see if I can a dose of E90 while waiting for it to hit the shops.
Regarding TV-out, this is from Forum Nokia's Device Specifications:
Nokia Audio Visual Plug 2.5mm
I suppose we'll have to wait and see, but I'd be disappointed if it wasn't there. I already envisioned leaving the laptop at home and bringing a pocket projektor on holidays instead, for the kiddies of course!

I have no idea why anyone would want to do this but the nerd in me has to know...Is it possible to take pictures with the flip open (ie on the main screen)? I imagine it must be quite cool to use that huge screen to capture images and maybe even practical seeing you'll have a better idea of how they'll turn out. Obviously its much too awkward holding the phone that way but I'd love to see it done anyway. Another benefit that just occurred to me is half opening the flip while capturing video thus having no problem standing the device on flat surfaces.
