Hi to all, i have been experiencing a strange problem on my N80 it seems that whenever i receive a phone call, i am experiencing stuttering when the ringtone starts to play, has anyone been exeperiencing this problem, the ringtones i have are mp3's and i have never has any problems with them before 😞 I hope i have nothing wrong with my mobile...

Ringtone Stutters
Hi just to update you maybe someone can help me here, i just found out what was causing the stuttering. It seems that ever since our operator has put 3G on their systems, whenever i receive a normal voice call the mobile switches from 3G to the normal GSM bandwidth.
Upon switching the ringtone stutters for that second or so and continues normaly,the operators of my network told me that the switching from 3G to GSM is normal but it isnt supposed to make that stutter when swtiching. has anyone encountered this type of problem on his mob?? :con? :con?

I have a similar problem but when mine starts to stutter the screen display also turns to sh1t.

It's not really a proper solution, but do you really need 3G? If not, turn your network selection from automatic to GSM - you'll see an improvement in your battery life as well 😊
However, never had this on my network before I 'turned off' 3G - O2 in the UK.
yeah, mine did that too on 3G... just deleted my MP3's before I worked it out.
I get the same problem with mine intermittently.
It hasn't happened for a while but I think that's only because no one's phoned me for ages :frown:
I did have a stuttering ringtone when i had mp3 ringtone and the 'say callers name' option both on.
I switched the 'say callers name' thing off and it stopped.
Same Problem here with my N80IE and the N70 with and without the "say caller name" option, I don't know what to do!! I can't turn the 3G off
Yes apparently it was the 3G that caused the problem in my ringtones, without 3G on the ringtones are fine but when someone calls me the ringtone stutters and i found out why, it seems that when you receive a normal phone call (which is not 3G) the mobile switched from 3G to the GSM mode, now during that change the ringtone gets affected and stutters for that second or so.
Well i suppose at least its worth knowing that its not the phone that is to blame but the network, because in certain areas the ringtone does not stutter either even although it swtiches to GSM autonatically.
