Symbian-based version of SSH?

Now, people are looking for all kinds of apps for the P800 and we can debate the usefulness of any one of them, but I'm really interested in being able to do some ssh from my P800 when on the go (so I can be in the movies when I should be at work and still make sure machines are working 😊 ).
Anyone know if there's an ssh implementation that has been done under Symbian OS (like for the 7650)?
I'd hate to have to write one myself, but if there isn't one available, I might have to.

Did not know there was one for the 7650! On the commercial side SSH Corporation has an agreement with Symbian to develop products for the OS. Certainly it has been done natively for the 9200.

There are some Java implementations of SSH, but OpenSSH has not been ported. There are some links on www.freessh.org to some Java bits and pieces.

Have a look at this. There is a midlet that implements telnet. If the guy can do telnet, then he has a basis for ssh capabilities.

I didn't know if there was one for the 7650 or not, but I figured that it's the only other Symbian phone I know of, so chances are good that IF there was one for it, then that could be ported to the P800.
Once I get my P800, I'll try out the java versions & see if they work (unless, of course, they are pure java & not personaljava) 😉
