Hi all, has anyone got Co-Pilot on here who could assist? Just purchased CoPilot Live 6 for the N95 and installed it using the MicroSD which it comes with, I now need to be able to use my existing SD card though and I can't see a way of transferring all the files? I have copied them all from the CoPilot card onto my pc ready to copy them to the card but there are files with the same file name already on the card, things such as Data etc?
Anyone know how to do this as I can't carry two tiny cards around everywhere and keep swapping them! It did come with an installation CD and Map CD's but again I can't see how this would help, I thought after installation I could remove the memory card and copy the map data from the CD's but once the memory card is removed the product disappears from my phone! Putting the Installation CD in tries to install CoPilot on my PC?
Also just tried copying everything from the memory card to my existing memory card (apart from the Data folder which in turn contains a folder called NEF and a config file but this seems to be the same as one already on my existing memory card?), it all copied OK but I can't see the app on my phone after copying?
A couple of things to try.
Firstly make sure there are no hidden files on the Copilot card that needs copying. With regards to the data folder. You could try just taking the contents of the data folder on the copilot card and putting it all in the existing data folder on your other card. Also, if you have not installed any other apps, i dont see that deleting the data folder would hurt. After all, the phone works fine without a card in.
Once everything is copied across, then try installing it again. I am not sure why it not showing, but when you installed it did you install it to the phones memory or the card memory?
For anyone else reading this, i think it would be best to copy the card contents over before installation to the phone.
The data folder just contains a folder called NEF and then a NEF.config xml file but this is what is already in the data file on the existing SD card. I note there are a few folders that won't copy too, just says you can't copy here. How do you reinstall it after copying anyway, I can't see an exe or anything to try this?
Hi all, for all I'm still having problems in being able to copy the app to my existing SD card, Copilot itself is great, much more confident in the routing and it seems to get a GPS lock way faster than maps ever did. Worth the money if you are already considering purchasing the 3 year voice guidance for the Maps app.
This is driving me mad!!! I have now copied all the folders onto my phone under a folder called CoPilot and can view them all on my phone using the File Manager but none of the exe/dll files are classed as supported??? This means I can't even kick off the .exe to install.
Surely someone out there can help me??? I've not exactly technically minded 😉
I think a call to Copilot customer services is required.
It could be be caused by a copy protection measure, i really don't now. But please let us know how you get on, being able to use my existing 1gig card would be essential if i was to buy it.
I've got a call logged with their support desk (via email) but they haven't responded since yesterday, will let you know what they say as I'm in the same boat, I need my 2GB card as the 256mb is way to small for my needs!

I have got my copy on order but it hasn't arrived yet, so as yet I can't speak from experience, but if its anything like TomTom and route 66 you have to copy the files to a memory card not the phones memory and they have to be put in the root directory not in a sub folder.
If this doesn't help I'll let you know how I get on when mine arrives.
Thanks, I've called them direct and they said it is possible but involves installing the supplied CD's and doing a data download from there and then a copy to the card, they are sending me full details so will pass on if it works.
Funnily enough their support desk are unaware that the Nokia N95 edition is now available, she wanted to know where I got it from as it wasn't out yet!!!
Right sorted (I think but I need to do some road tests later!), I spoke to their technical people and there is nothing on the CD's or supplied SD card that allows you to copy to an existing SD card !!
Basically I had to install the CD's onto my pc and then run a data download by selecting the UK maps, this was then saved onto my C drive and then copied onto the memory card. Once this was done, ALK supplied me with a link to download a .sis file which was again stored on my memory card, I could then pick this up from the phone and use it to install again, I had to activate etc and then it worked.
Does Copilot 6 support the internal gps of N95? If not is there any program besides the built in one that supports the built in GPS? And is only the european version available yet? I couldn't find a US version on their web site yet...

Yes it does support the internal GPS, it's a specific version for the N95, ignore their website as it still doesn't indicate this version is now available and even their support team aren't aware!
Can u please give me the link to the SIS file, as im in the same situation and cannot get copilot to work on my own card
