N73 Infrared too slow?

Hi,

I have N73 connected to Windows2000 computer via Chronos Infrared-USB connector (identified by windows as SigmaTel USB-IrDA Adapter) which supports transfer speeds OVER 115200 Kbit/s (it's manual says 115200Kbits-12Mbit/s), in its settings it's set to highest speed too.

I've tried ALL options in this device driver settings.
It always connects to phone, but the speed is NEVER higher than 115200 Kbit which surely is too slow for transferring big files 😞

Does this mean that N73 infrared port does not support higher speeds?
I was searching the web, but never found max. speed specification of nokia IR port!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

i dont think the IR ports on nokias are particularly good anyways
back in the day they could only be used to chuck contact cards to each other

im not sure though, im just babbblin :B

I was using GPRS internet - Nokia 5140i with my dell c400 laptop via Infrared port and it was good enough. So I was expecting that infrared of N73 will support higher speeds. It's poor if 115200 Kbits is max speed for it 😞
