I was speaking to a o2 worker today who warned me that the Nokie N95 only has a stand by time of around 4 hours.

Surely not?

Rubbish i have had mine on standby for about 3-4 days.

Of course not.
If thats the case for the o2 branded N95's, o2 has a HUGE problem with THEIR branded firmware for the N95.
Mine (..unbranded..) has a std-by of approx 2-3 days with intermediate use (Dual mode enabled, 10-15 min voice call/day on the 3G network, 10-15 min browsing using 3G/day, 10-15 min browsing using WLAN/day, autom. download of email 4 times/day, some "playing" around with phone, a couple of SMS etc..)
But, if you use the GPS the battery drains quite quickly. I believe it wouldn't last 4h with it enabled. Use with 12v charger in car... 😎

I thought the battery was rubbish at first, only lasting around a day, maybe a bit more! I havent been using the phone as much recently, just using it more casual as i will in the future and it has lasted a good 3 days on one charge! Easily adequate for a phone IMO!

The 4 hours i think you'll find is talk time! 😉 O2 man must of got that wrong!

One bad thing about the O2 branding is the "power saver" they have set as default... which when you leave the phone idle for 5mins shows the o2 logo all animated... but it lights up the display!! Useless! I've set it to the standard clock and its fine!
