Does anyone know any Data entry software out there that is using T9 to predict text?

Thanks

Am I missing something?

All S60 phones have T9 already built in! Press the # sign until the ABC indicator at the top right changes to =Abc for predictive text!!

I'm with you, confused by this one :con?

Yeah, I reckon you're both missing something 😊

There are different implementations of the idea of "predictive text", of which T9 is one. I think the question is asking about predictive text which includes word completion.

On my N95, the so-called 'predictive' text only matches against words using the *current* input - i.e. if I've tapped four times then it will only match against four-letter words. On the fifth tap it's checking against five-letter words.

On the other hand, I've had phones in the past that truly 'predict' against likely *future* input. In otherwords, if I've entered "tab" it might suggest "table" and I can choose that word without typing the remaining letters.

I hope this makes sense - I think that's what the original poster is asking about.

Ahh I get it, yeah my girlfriend's LG chocolate does that. I find it a little disconcerting actually but if you get used to it I can see it being pretty handy
