Nokia N95

HI, Can anyone help got new N95 yesterday from ebay says its unlocked which i guess it is. I ahve contract phone with voda, thought it was as simple to just swith sim from one phone to another, couldnt find my contacts on the N95.

When switched on the N95 it had O2 wallpaper and it appears to ahve a ot of 02 settings which i dont like, can this be removed.

What is this firmware and how does it work, bit of a novice to this techy stuff but the phone has all the things i want.

Can anyone help.

Hi Mate

The phone must have been from o2 and all their phones are factory unlocked.

check you contacts on your other phone are not stored in memory, you should be able to copy to sim.

there are lots of posts on the firmware upgrade but i think you only need to do this if your on orange voda or t mobile, nobody has really mentioned o2.

so just download the nokia updater from the nokia website and give it a try.
