I like the landscape mode when viewing websites but it becomes akward when you want to type text the only solution is an externel keyboard (or change back to keypad mode) I guess is this expensive?

Nokia SU-8W bluetooth keyboard. Yes, they're pretty expensive. Others may have other suggestions but my advice would be to avoid Freedom keyboards as their compatibility is questionable.
