I bought my n80ie last December 2006...Last night, I tried to update my n80ie firmware using Nokia Software Updater. It did tell me that there's an update available so decided to go on with the update.
Connection was fine and download of firmware was progressing so I left my phone hooked on the computer and did my other business and when to sleep.
Today when I checked the update, the program says that it has lost communication with n80 and the phone is turned off.
As far as I remember, I did fully-charged the phone's battery and the connection with the USB cable was fine. I tried turning ON the phone and it's not working. Tried to remove the battery and put it back again, still same problem.
Could it be that the update caused the problem? Is there any way this problem can be solved?
Please help...anyone? I'm new with this stuff so I would really appreciate it...
P.S. I did backup everything before the update and I plan to go Nokia today to have my phone check.
