Doing our bit for the 20 million party 😉
Seeing this video truly puts the European markets idea of a smart phone in its place.
How big do the screens want to be? They're huge and likely to be quite scratch resistant due to the largely adopted "flip phone" form factor that present over in the far east!! :icon14:
I've taken an interest in MOAP and FOMA phones in the past as back in the day of the Nokia 6600, the FOMA phones appeared to have better specs and bigger screens and here's not forgetting 4-way video calling on similar phones.
However the UI of all the phones in the videocast and the ones I've seen online seem very bland except for that last SE one (still mainly white).
I'm not sure if this is due to the fact we are looking at a different expectation of what a phone UI should look and behave or if it comes down to the type of language displayed on the screen and if this is an important factor in the size of the screen to display everything clearly.
Anyways, I would like to actually see these types of phone over in the UK for once. Come on people.

Indeed. Where can we get one of those TV phones with English firmware. I want one!
The TV wouldn't work in the UK even with English firmware... That said it wont be too long before we see this sort of thing in Europe I imagine. Probably in Italy with the DVB-H services.
The mobile with double touch screens looked pretty awesome.
Anyway it was pretty neat to be able to download the mp4 on my E70 and watch it right away. Firmware v3 rocks!
