Clearing e-mail headers from phone memory

Hello

I used to have my Google Mail email account accessible from my phone, but then changed my mind about this as it was too much hassle, but now even after deleting all the emails in my phone's email inbox, I cannot get rid of their 'headers', of which there are hundreds, which must be taking up space on my phone's C drive. How does one get rid of these headers? Does one need a 3rd party file manger to do this?

This brings me on to my second question: Can anyone name a good, free file managing program that can do this? Also, what other unnecessary files can I safely delete from C to free up more space?

thanks

you might need to reinstate the email program, then clear your inbox and sync it again...

then when the phone sees there are no mails in the inbox it clears the corresponding non matched headers.

thanks - the way I did it (for the benefit of others) was to go into messages>options button>settings>email>then delete the mailbox
