Evening all,
Since my N95 was new it has consistently dropped its web connection over 802.11g after about 20 seconds. Sometimes it reports 'Web: No gateway', but on the vast majority of occasions it just refuses to load the second page that you try to access. The only solution is to return to Standby, disconnect the LAN and reload the page.
Following advice in this forum I have switched the router and phone to using Channel 8 instead of 6, which made no difference. The phone is connecting to a Netgear DG834GT router using WPA-PSK, and e-mail works perfectly.
Any thoughts gratefully received!
Thanks
TH
Is the same with all hotspots?

Good question! I haven't tried it with any others yet, though that's exactly what I should do... Will report back.
Thanks

Hey,
I had the same problem and was advised that there is a software issue with Netgear...and the N95. I was told to switch the router from WPA-PSK to WEP.
This has solved the problem for me...hope it works for you.
Had the same problem. Disable the powersaving feature on your N95 WLAN settings. But with that said, I have noticed that the N95 is picky with the routers it works with. Hope Nokia can fix it in the next firmware.
I have tried WEP, and an open network, still the same on a DG834GT.
Only at work we have a NETGEAR DG834G. and it works perfect go figure??
Where is the WLAN power saving settings on the N95???
Ok yep found it, power level to 4%, power save off, disalbe wep and use open network, works fine.
BUGGY CRAP!
OK When you select manual settings and change them, how do you stop the phone automatically connecting to the network when you reset it???
Try it, if you reset your phone, it now connects to the network all on its own, i dont want it to unless i choose?, cant find any options?
