Hi All,
Thanks for the last advise, I now have N95 and it IS better than an N80. In all departments....
The question now is there any good Navigation Software for walking /sailing.
I would like to use O/S Maps and charts on my N95 for walking/ sailing.
Ive seen Memory Map Does that work on Symbian? Also View Ranger. Are there any others which is the best/ most cost effective??
Please advise..
Thanks for all the help from last time and this.
Gerrit

You can GPS log your movements....... monitor them and the best bit: Save them as KML Google earth files.
Check my run around cannock chase in the midlands:

Memory Map is awesome, especially the PC software side, but unfortunatly it's Windows Mobile only. There is talk of a Symbian version, but they have been saying that for ages and i would not hold your breath, a lot of companies say that when asked.
The best thing for Symbain is Viewranger and the latest version works well with the N95's built in GPS chip. It's a truly fantastic bit of kit, a shining example of when can be achieved with the N95/Symbian. If only companies that produced software in other areas of Symbain produced stuff this good.
I say go for viewranger, you wont be disappointed.
Yeah well this doesn't quite answer this guys question - and I'm really interested in the answer too.
So far the N95 has the land pretty much covered - but what about a navigation package for those of us who occasionally take to the seas?
I think this really would make the N95 the ultimate phone to top them all.
Seabound GPS navigation is of course slightly different from land based solutions - as you need charts and maps and shipping lanes - and hopefully some way to integrate this with weather reports etc. (Although the later can be achieved in other ways too).
It just seems like a major emission not to have a package that can actually do this and do it well.
I have seen plenty stuff for Windows Mobile, but never for Symbian.
