I've updated to this version of the firmware (11.0.026) with my t-mobile phone. First impressions are good with a much snappier response in using the menus in general.
However, there appears to be a big problem with 'Streaming Links' in the Gallery:
If you select a streaming link it will ONLY try to make a connection using RealPlayer's default access point.
If this is a wifi point that it can't see at the moment then the connection fails - no chance to pick an alternative!
If is your GPRS/3G network (e.g. t-mobile) then realplayer will use this connection even if you are already connected via wifi using the browser!! How bad is that??!
This realplayer does not have the option to 'Always Ask' for an access point.
Anyone know if the older firmware version offered this choice? I thought it did.
This is specific to 'Streaming Links' (so maybe that's where the problem lies) as selecting a streamed link from the browser results in RealPlayer using the current access point.
Anyone know of a work-around or fix?
The only option at the moment is to go to realplayer's network settings each time you want use a different access point, which is a pain.
