And what a surprise: F-Secure's claim of "is able to operate anywhere" becomes "sends SMS to Infon, a major Russian content provider".
You know, even for legitimate enterprises it is major undertaking to make contracts with any number of premium SMS number providers to be able to provide a service worldwide - and be able to collect the money, of course. Your usual premium SMS number does not work accross country borders.
But why do I spend my time to chase down solid information instead of producing FUD, and spend yet more time to report back here? Companies like F-Secure will win, in the long term, and frighten everybody into buying their mobile security products...
As long as my phone can be formated and I still have backups, I'm not scared. I even removed the preinstalled Symantec from my phone. I think that these "viruses" are developed by the antivirus companies.
