Hi I was reading my regular dose of tech news today, and I came across a story on endgadget here: http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/23/pandoras-music-streaming-gets-mobile-with-sprint/
Naturally it sucks that this is just for Sprint/US customers.
Living in the UK - and given that Pandora has not blocked broadcasts to the UK as it has in virtually every other country due to the actions of the RIAA etc, I am/was naturally curious as to what exactly is blocking UK customers from accessing this service?
Is it possible that it is some kind of useragent that identifies sprint phones - and is it possible that there might be a way to 'alter' the useragent on the n95 so that it appeared to the Pandora service to be a US/Sprint based phone?
Just curious.
TBH I think I would literally kill (OK well maybe not kill) to have either Pandora, or Last.FM on my N95, as I do think these would make particularly killer mobile applications.
But there just doesn't seem to be much movement on that front (until now).
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to let me know.
GJ
PS,
If anyone doesn't know what Pandora and Last.FM radio are, you should really (and I mean really) seriously consider checking them out.
