So some of you have had a P800 for a few weeks, could you share your thoughts on it now you have had some time to play with it. These are the kind of questions that go through my mind : -
1.Do you think you will lose interest in it as a gadget after a while, or do you realy think you will use most of its features long term?
2. Are you dissapionted in anyway after such a long wait with the final product?
3. I use a 9210 and often get memory errors with to many apps/games open, how dose the P800 handle this.
4. What a about the interface do you find it easy to find/enter new contacts, make appiontments etc.
5. How about the jogdail dose it work well or do you think it should have a joystick like the 7650.
6. How are the quality of the apps/games installed are the any good or just something SE have chucked in to beef up the package.
7. Is it the best pda device you have ever had or ever wanted or if you could choose again would you still buy and for the same price.
If you could let us know any of these points or any other that may help us who are thinking of buying one get a real picture of what it is like to use day to day.
Hi Gazcart
(It's me who doubted you)
Do you ever look at Esato? If not have a look at the following which although it may not answer the questions you asked here, I found it quite interesting.

I've used the P800 since the 19:th of December, and I must say that I'm absolutely stunned!!
Great performance, slick programs, gazillions of features. I've showed it to most of my friends, the most classic quote is "Damn it, I didn't even know You could make phones like that!"
And the games ROCK! plus I've downloaded an arcade and a c64-emulator...
I love it!
Hi, thanks for that, no I have never been to that site, I just read through the hole thread, I am a bit worried after reading all that.
One point someone made was about not enough memory on the phone, can't you install apps/games on the memory card?
When installing you get the option if you whant to install to the onboard memory or to the memorystick. No problems 😃
gazcart,
i got the p800 3 weeks ago and i think it is the best phone ever. i also had the 9210 before it and i think p800 is better in every thing except the keyboard input. Yes you can install programs on the memory stick. Here are my detailed opinion on the p800. i wish it could help u 😊
in my opinion it is a wonderful phone but here are some drawbacks:
1- the position of the mic is too bad because it is often that you block it by holding the phone which will let your voice unhearable.
2- it surfs the internet quite well but fails to log to www.hotmail.com ( an error message appears)
3- It does not support send/receive fax.
4- No real player yet.
5- quality of images in indoor mode at night is too bad.
6- no profiles (meeting, outdoor...etc)
7- The option of 'select all' is not available in all cases. i mean if you want to transfer all your contacts to the SIM for example you should make it one by one.
8-only viewer for word, excel... but you cant creat any of them just view a copied one.
I think I read in the esato forum that you can't change the Contacts folder to be on the memory card. So if you have a huge Contacts database there could be a problem. Can anyone confirm this.
