What screwdriver to remove front facia?

5 replies · 2,863 views · Started 24 May 2007

I have purchased some replacement facias for my N95 because the one supplied has become scratched. There appear to be four screws underneath, visible when the slider is opened first one way and then the other. I have a Torx T6 screwdriver but this appears to be too big to remove these screws. What screwdriver do I need to remove them (and where can I obtain one online)?

Thanks.

Well this might seem like an obvious answer, but since I have not tried to remove the facia on my own phone, I will give it my best shot.

My suggestion in this case would be to look for a set of small torx screwdrivers on eBay (or wherever) and to simply try your luck. Since these always tend to come in standardised sizes, you are almost bound to find one that fits.

I don't imagine that it will cost you more than a few $ to buy them.

Like I said, sorry for being obvious, but that's what I would do.

If I try a T6 for the screws you're talking about, it seems a bit too big, yes. I have successfully used a T5 with other screws inside the phone. I can't try it now since my T5 and Ts below is in another place for the moment.
