First you must have/convert the movie to a compatible format (for instance H264/MP4).
Secondly, the size of the movie depends on several factors; preferred output quality and length of movie.
I use "PS3 Video 9" for conversion which is free and does the job (can be downloaded from www.redkawa.com) and can convert DVD's (*.vob) and other video formats. It has predefined profiles for N95 that are very good.
Use "Nokia 256kbps Small" for viewing on N95. Typical size 90min movie: 250MB.
Use "Nokia 1536kbps Large" for output to TV. Typical size 90min movie: 1.5GB.
As said, you can use it to convert your own DVD's and other video formats. Where you get other movies from but your own will not be discussed here in this forum. How about buying them...?

Downloaded .. installed .. looking for the N95 .. not in devices or profiles .. I'll probably edit something .. to get it going .. but be nice to know where you got these "predefined profiles" .. cheers much! 😊
Does PS3 Video 9 allow you to convert 16:9 to 4:3 by cropping the sides of the move off?

Profiles are named "Nokia...", not "N95". Could be that you have to download the patch to get them. I'm on mobile device now so I can't provide link, but there is a patch that must be downloaded. Look in Redkawa forum.
I'd recommend SUPER, do a search, its probably already covered in this forum somewhere.
The setting are the same as N73 (post it from N73 forum) - http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/53910/

Hi there,
sorry, but i have searched for this patch, just can't find it. Where did you get it? Maybe even got a link? 😉

I'd recommend using Super to convert to the mp4 format and using real player to watch 'em!
Go for DivX which you can find here h**p://mobile.divx.com.
You will need to register to download but its totally free, this will allow you to playback virtually any .divx or .avi encoded movie.
I have 2 full dvd movies on my memory card that are each approx 550mb (2gb card) and they play perfectly.

The first post in this thread contains links to the updated file which contains the profiles (it's the "Updated File" link you're looking for).
http://www.n95users.com/forum/third-party-apps/1158-ps3video9-video-conversion.html
If you later upgrade/reinstall PS3 Video 9 you must first back-up your profile directory or install this patch after the upgrade/reinstall.
The thread also holds som info and "how-to" that can be useful.
Thanks a lot for this post, man 😊 Very helpful thread over there.
