Caller sound is coming very low. I can hardly hear — Sony Ericsson P990

Hi,

I have a sony ericsson p990 and i am facing a problem while somebody calls me. The problem is-
after accepting the call, the voice coming through the earpiece is very low, and i am not able to hear the caller. I tried searching for some option through which the volume of earpiece can be increased but couldn't find any. Please suggest how can i overcome this problem.

Please note that i am not using handsfree, bluetooth headset etc. I am simply putting the phone on my ear after accepting the call.

request you to help me with this, as the phone is becoming literally difficult to use as i cannot hear the voice of the caller.

Please don't think I'm being patronising but have you tried turning the volume up (using the jog dial during a call)?

Hope it's something as simple as and you get it fixed.
