i have just bought a new sandisk ultra2 2gb card with adapter but when i insert the card into my card reader using the adapter and try to drag and drop video files over to the card it shows the files but then comes up with a message saying the card is write protected.
How do i get over this? its really anoying me, there is nothing in the instructions that came with the card.
I have noticed that there is a slide bit on the adapter and have tried that in both positions but it seems to make no difference.
use the phone instead .. many devices(mostly cameras) have this form of write protection. It requires that you have the card inserted into the device it was formatted on.
so Hook your phone up using the PC suite (seems quicker than Mass Storage mode) .. and do it that way.
Good Luck!😊
just been trying to transfer a file (411mb) and it takes ages. Around 12 mins.
will try pc suite mode and see if thats any quicker.
allways just used to put my memory stick duo into the card reader and it did it in no time
I think you'll find transfer will always be slow when the card is in the phone. I'd try and work out how to get it working in your card reader. Also, I get a problem when the card is in the phone of the phone not being able to recognise some folders i've transfered.

i really would prefer to use the card reader as its much quicker but for some reason my fancy ultra 2 gb card wont work in it:frown:
