Laptop + Nokia 7650 as modem (GPRS) via bluetooth (Widcomm)

I have a problem setting up the Nokia 7650 as a bluetooth modem via Bluetooth.

I have the Tecom USB dongle with the Widcomm bluetooth software.
PC Suite and everything is working fine, but i cant get the phone to act as a bluetooth modem via bluetooth. When I run N7650_Modem_Setup.exe I cant choose "Bluetooth modem", just "IR modem".

Why is that?, any ideas?

thanks

I had the same problem with MSI bt, but it turned out that i didnt need to
install that N7650_Modem_Setup.exe, because the bt software's dialup
network worked fine. So no need for Nokia software.

ok, Ive tried that. But the phone doesnt seem to trig the gprs connection. The computer just say "PPP Link terminated".

The operator (Telia) says that I should use *99# as phonenumber, but that doesnt seem to help.

I found the problem, in phone settings, u must choose a default APN for GPRS. That field was empty.

Jyrik: How did you configure your Bluetooth DUN with 7650? I can't seem to get mine to work. I using Widcomm v1.3.5 for my MSI Key. Please help. Thank you.

I just upgraded my BT SW to Tecom 1.2.216 and configured the BT DUN for GPRS use. I'm using Globe in Philippines and dial to *99***1#.

It always get stuck at "Registering your computer on the network.." and the next error that appear says "Error 734: The PPP link control protocol was terminated."

Can someone help me out? I didn't have this problem when i use my T68i. Shrugs!
