Hello all
Ever since i upgraded to the latest firmware the Autofocus on the camera no longer seems to work. When i take a picture it tries to focus, but always seems to end up just a lil blurry.
I've tried changing to different modes, (macro, barcode, etc). I've also tried holding the button half down for a long period whilst tryng to find focus.
But no matter what i do, the pictures always come out just off sync.
Anyone got any ideas?

I have the same problem I guess. The Autofocus is OK if I shoot from a distance ... 50cm +
Even If I set to "Close-Up" mode, I can't get results I'm expecting. The camera focuses the object but can't lock into that focus, it just continious finding the focus again and again and in the end the image is blured.
I had N90 and the photos were far better than with N95. The software sux.
Also the jpeg compression is too heavy.
Any suggestion on this case?

I tested two N95's simultaneously on close-up shooting, well ... one (mine) did the same as I descibed above, but another one (girlfriend's) is working OK -- well, better, different or ... close ups are good and focus can lock, at the disctance of 10 cm it becames green and locks .. picture is sharp.
Conslusion:
My N95 (good slider - tight, bad focus, no hum on the speaker)
Girfriend's N95 (bad slider, good focus, a hum on the speaker)
Friend' N95 (bad slider, bad focus)
Well ... I think N95 is like a "cat in a bag" for now. You never know what you gonna get. Like box of chocolate.

Don't even have a time and energy running to service again and again, wondering WHAT I'VE GOT NOW .. hmm let's see, yeaahh the slider, I thought so .. well, tough luck. Do you have another one please? ... oh the focus .. hmm, any other back there ... I really need to test the 20th one, sorry .. uf
