I am trying to install a self signed ssl certificate on my N95 so that I can get Road Sync to syncronise with my exchange server automatically using its push technology, but cannot find out how to install the certificate. Can anyone help me please?
Installing Self signed certificate

tried and tested and works.
Thanks, but his seems to be about how to get a certificate for an aplication, I am trying to install a website ssl certificate on my N95 so that it does not ask me to accept it every time I try to do a sync.
For my N80, I transferrd the SSL certificate onto the phone memory via PC suite. Once it was saved (into the documents folder but I'm not sure it matters) select Tools/Settings/General/Security/Certificate Management. You will then see a list of all your certificates. Scroll down onto your new certificate and the press Options/Trust setting
You will also have to have Internet set to 'yes' and Online Cert Check also set to 'yes' otherwise everytime you sync, you will have to keep on pressing yes to the certificate check dialog box that Roadsync brings up when you sync - not a problem if you do infrequent manual sync's but a pain if you are in push mode.
Be interested to hear how you get on - Roadsync isn't working for me on my N95 with v.11.xx firmware and Dataviz say there will be a new application release to fix it - date not confirmed in the support email
Roadsync is working great with my N95, except for:
I have the same certificate problem with a N95.
I have tried copying the self-signed certificate as a .cer and .p7b file to the device and opening - I get a 'file type not supported error'. Similarly, through Bluetooth I get a 'Messaging not supported error' too.
Anybody found a resolution to this yet?

I moved the certificate onto the phone memory but it did not appear in certificates list, it must be different for the S60 3rd edition. Anybody got any more ideas?
I hope this doesn't muddy the waters, but bear in mind that some things in Exchange don't work correctly with a self-signed certificate. For example, the old wap-based Outlook Mobile Access will only work with a paid-for certificate. Having said that, I only have a self-signed certificate and successfully trialled RoadSync with no mucking about and no problems. (I've unloaded it now so can't check on file locations etc unfortunately.)
I also need to import a personal certificate on a N95 for synchronization with the company exchange server.
I tried to import thru bluetooth in a .p12, .cer format. I tried also to modify the certificate with openSLL.
It seems that is not possible to import personal certificate exported from the exchange server on a N95!!
The support site answered me just to import it in a .p12 format. I'm not dummy, I know what I did, I just become a message that the file is corrupt, but I can use this certificate on all other mobiles!
I will change to a Sonyericsson P1, or do someone know how to solve the problem? Also the support didn't tell me when there will be a version 13 of the firmware, if the problem is known and if is possibile to downgrade to version 10.
But I have tried it many times on 2nd edition.. Does anyone else than me think that there MIGHT be a bug in the 3rd edition that makes certificates an invalid file type???
Really sux.. Even microsoft are better at documenting and fixing issues like this!!
Somebody was asking exactly the same on one of the MS support groups. An MVP called Les Connor has replied with this. Doesn't mean much to me but might help you:
"You might try creating a cab file from your certificate.
There are some not-so-easy to follow instructions, with screen shots, and
quite a long discussion here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2006/01/28/making_a_root_cert_cab_file.aspx
Buried in that discussion, near the bottom, is this gem:
<snip>
The new zip file includes the required DLL, just unzip to a folder and run
the wm_cert_cab.exe. This will allow you to either select a .cer file on
your local machine or extract the cer information from your installed
certificates (i.e. Internet Options > Content > Certificates). It will then
output the .CAB file to the same directory the program is running in. All
you need to do is copy the .CAB file to your phone; then using the file
explorer on the phone, run the .CAB file.
