is it possible to convert simpsons episodes into 9290 media?

26 replies · 5,306 views · Started 09 January 2003

i have bunch of simpsons episodes on my pc i was wondering if I could somehow convert them for viewing on my 9290?

Yeah, I personally use RealPlayer as I prefer it, but most people use the standard nokia NIM format. An 9210 is capable of playing all of Star Wars Ep 2 before the battery goes flat.

Switchblade. Do you have the the full episode2 of Starwars under RealPlayer? If you do, is it possible for you to email it to me at [email protected]?

Yep it is good, i enjoy it any way, although it is a bit of a pain with the sound, a good set of head phones would make all the difference!

Get yourself MultiMediaConvertor from nokia site or even better MultiMediaConvertor Pro from forum.nokia.com and then you can convert mpg/avi to nim files

hey switchblade, what file formats does mobile realplayer view?

I have the the whole of the movie 'shrek' for the realplayer. The size of the file is 22.2mb and it is just about watchable, not brilliant, but it shows you what the 9210 is capable of.If for instance you optimized the conversion settings and made the file larger say 30mb or so iam sure you could convert a full length movies for the 9210 and it would be perfectly watchable - it could be achieved.

With this capability why would you ever want a 7650?[/quote]

ok now, how can I convert a mpeg or avi into a real player file? is there a converter somewhere? I thought it would play an avi but it wouldnt!

Use the MultiMediaConvertor Pro to get you some nims it will give you way better quality then stupid realplayer films.

But if you realy want realplayer films you'll need the director, check http://www.n9210.co.uk section hints and tips

Realplayer/realoneplayer on the 9210 plays the same files as a normal PC. SW2 came to about 48MB so a lot of MMC space is needed, but it was watchable. The majority of the problems came from the fact it was taped at the cinema on a camcorder as I felt I wanted a copy as and then rather than wait however many months before you can buy the videos. That said I don't have it any more, and I doubt I'd be patient enough to wait to re-encode it without intending to watch it.

well, I'm having trouble getting anything converted with multimedia convertor

I'm not using a p4 pc to convert, since it causes errors, I am using my other pc..

when I try to convert avi's it says it can only convert the video with no audio, and the mpegs just cause an error

now I am interested in getting the realplayer director, but that link you gave isnt working, is there anywhere else I can get it from?
thanks
jeff

Take a look at my other post:100% SENSATIONAL nim video developments

and I will add the software links within the next few days, so you can convert any sort of video clip to nim format, I've converted 100's of F1 clips from various formats- avi, wmv etc... 😉

Has any one got some good NIMs or Rela player movies that they can send me? I have got a rare Cartoon version of the Hobbit that I can attach if any is interested 😃

100's and 100's of music clips, top gear clips, 200+ F1 clips, the list is endless u tell me what u want i'ii tell u if i ave it! 😃

got a few films, a few cartoons 30+ - but these are not my kind of stuff

F1 and car clips, where u located want me 2 burn them onto a CD for ya? U cover costs of CD, postage?

I`m not really into F1 tried to get into it but didn`t seem to do anything for me. I would rather pefer the films etc.

I'm not into films that much, actually I don;t see the point of watchin them on 9210i, but then if that's what ur into then that's that, have fun converting those 2hr films! 😃
