I installed an anti theft application on my Nokia N72 phone memory (ANTI-THEFT BY DEV MOHANTY, and it messed up my phone menu -- the menu does not launch hence I can not remove this app.
I have tried Nokia PC suite but it can not display my apps from the PC.
I am looking for a PC based app that will display the apps on my phone memory and allow me to delete. Alternatively, any solution will do.
I don't think there is a software to allow uninstalling the apps from the phone/MMC. If you can still dial numbers, then a soft reset might work (*#7370#) otherwise a full format: switch the phone off, remove the MMC, plug the phone to a charger and then press at the same time (*)+(3)+(green key). Keep these three buttons pressed and press the power on buttun until you'll see on display "Formatting". Note that both methods are erasing everything from phone memory.
Thanks mate. Willing to try, but before I do, since what you are proposing is a reformat, what happens next? How safe is this procedure? Will it wipe out the OS and default programs?
It will bring the phone in the shape in which it was when you got it out of the box. Default applications will remain untouched. Contacts, calendar items and anything stored in phone's memory will be wiped out though.
