How to update tomtom to 6.02 and above?

Have you considered asking TomTom support ( http://www.tomtom.com/support/ )?

ive checked for updates in the TomTom home software off the CD and direct on the phone and none find any

You can download TT6.02 if you like but unless you have a nokia e61 there's no difference on the N95 from v6.01.

So it wont make a difference until v6.03, which has N95 integrated support?

The TT Support website claims 6.02 is for e61 only, so no I would just wait for 6.03 and pray it supports N95 internal GPS receiver.

I have on old external GPS anyway, it would just be nice not to have to carry it around

I know, as soon as the N95 internal GPS is supported (and assuming it performs well) I will be selling my TomTom MkII GPS Receiver on ebay.
