Is the new MagicGate Memory Stick Duo compatible with P800

I have seen Sony USA is selling the Magic Gate Memory Stick Duo 64MB ( MSG-M64A ), it will work with the P800 ?

According to the P800 Preliminary White Paper (available here: http://www.ericsson.com/mobilityworld/developerszonedown/downloads/docs/p800/p800_wp_oct.pdf ), the Magic Gate Technology is not compatible with the P800. Unfortunately, it doesn't say whether the card in itself is compatible as a pure storage card, but according to this info, the MG protection feature will not work.

Not sure if I am confusing this with some thing else but I remeber reading something about re-formating the card with certain Sony devices to remove the protection. I have Memory stick reader for my PC maybe there is some way to do it through that or is the protection hardcoded.
