I have over 2,000 images I just moved onto the N95, now I moved them all, in separate folders & was hoping that the N95 would mirror this, it didn't.
In the gallery it has all over the photos, all 2,000 of them one after the other, I was hoping it would have all 6 folders, if you see what I mean.
I downloaded Xplore (I think its called that) file manager, which is brilliant, as it does do pretty much what I wanted to do, but I was just wondering if there was an easier way to sort my pictures, via the Gallery.
It takes a while to load all the photos, and is rather hard to find certain pictures, any ideas
Thanks
You can create albums and manually add photos to them, but you still have to go options/view albums each time you open the gallery (after waiting for it to start) which is rubbish. The gallery app has been rubbish ever since the 6630, when they decided to chuck videos and images together 😞
If someone from Nokia reads this SORT IT OUT! We want folder view, grid view, list view and separate videos and images! Just like the rest of the OS!
Yeah but even if you put them in albums they still appear in the main gallery, so I still have 2000 images that need loading up before I can even then go to albums😡
Yea ppl.. this whole new gallery thing sucks !! its takes tons of time to load all images n if we dont wait till all in the view are loaded the phone gets slow n all.. the ol' folder view was so much good n cool... is there any way we can do tht ? get our old folder view back ? or anythin thts better
Edit: After a firware update to v.11 things have changed pretty much.. doesnt takes tht much longer to load images, but still a bit slow..
gallery sucks, but worst is you can press gallery button by mistake 😡
and it starting to display image ! guess what if last image was not what you want to show to others around...
any way to disable or redirect that button ? programm or something ?

I think I have that, unless there has been another update?
I guess I will have to stick with the Xplore thing for the mo
Resco Picture Viewer is quite good, and I use it as my default viewer. It allows you to choose which folders you want to show/hide at any given time.

That sounds quite interesting, do you have a link where to get it?
The product web page is www.resco-net.com/symbian/viewer.asp or you could buy at handango via a link from the AAS website. Just do a search.
Thanks for that :icon14: Will give it a go when I get home
wow double thanks!
that program is excellent!
