Is there anyway to tell Web/Gmail/Flurry/FreeRange etc.. that it is OK to use the "T-mobile Internet" access point and they don't have to be so polite and ask every time 🙄
Each time I open one of those apps I have to confirm that they can access the network data services and then I'm asked to select the access point.
TIA
FreeRange is an untrusted Java app, and like all Java apps, you will be asked everytime that it attempts to access the internet. This can be changed to Ask First Time, ie just the first time you launch it. Thereafter it will access as required via the defined access point it used the first time, but only until such time as you close it down. Then, the next time you launch it you will be asked to confirm it's ok for it to access the AP. You can change this setting in App Manager - find FreeRange, click on it to Open, then change the Network access option.
For Web, you just need to change the settings from "Always ask" to "User defined". (Options > Settings > General) However, this mucks things up if you use several different APs (like T-Mobile while out and about and WiFi when at home).
Cheers chrsfrwll, its clear now why java apps behave so differently.
