Yes, of course. Both on internal or external screen (like a TV) using the TV-out cable.

The format used has to be supported. Review the manual for supported ones. One common used is H264/MP4. Many converters has the "iPod" option which works well.

The quality depends heavily on the selected output quality when converting. Converting with a "top" quality output (like 1536kbps) which is suitable for TV-out results in a file of size 1.5-2GB. The quality is not DVD but very much usable for viewing. If choosing "Low" quality it's good enough for viewing on N95 and a movie holds typically 250MB.

Converters: There are maaany out there, the one I'm currently are using is "PS3 Video 9" which is free and if you download a profile patch you'll get predefinded profiles (Low, Med & High quality) for Nokia N95 (simply called "Nokia"😉. The "Low" quality profiles are good for viewing on N95 and the file size of a movie is typically 250MB.

Downloads and "how-to" can be found in this thread (look for post/reply by "superswede" yesterday at 10:11 PM): http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/60827/

divx labs has released a divx player. It works very well. So for those of you who have movies in divx format and enough memory space you can now watch you divx library!

... and what do you do about all the DRM bollocks? A friend of mine got one of those Arcos-thingies for a prolonged trip to the Falklands. He loaded it up with his own DVDs from his own collection and when he tried to play them back was told "not on your life matey".

Who told him? I have one of those "Arcos-thingies" (actually, Archos) with films off my DVDs and have played it many a time without problem.
