Cant change my product code back using NSS

I changed my product code to 0536062 EURO1 - Plum from 0548021 (o2) so that i could update the firmware,

i followed the instructions mentioned on another thread on this forum

i used NSS and GSM Magic to change the product key, which was successful, i then proceeded to update the handset using the NSU, which again was successful, but when i came to change the product code back it wouldnt let me.

When i load NSS and scan for the new device, it will show all details in the "Device info" tab, but when i open "Phone info" tab, load GSM Magic, click enable then click scan, i get the following in the status bar

"Scan for product.....Error!"

im not doing anything differently...

Why do you want to change the product code back anyway? You don't need to; and it'll make things easier the next time firmware is updated - you just use NSU straight away.

I suppose, but doesnt it void the warrenty if something goes wrong with the handset (that is not a fault of mine?)

if something goes wrong, make sure it goes wrong badly enough so they can't get to the product code 😉
