Afternoon all.
I've recently got an N73.
Will probably upgrade to the N73ME using the handy hints and tips on this forum.
The next stage is wireless music.
As we all know the A2DP profile is sadly lacking from our N73s but what choices do we have?
A bluetooth dongle stuck in the pop port for use with any BT headphones or the MSI Blueplayer software to go with the iTech headphones.
Has anyone got any experience with these wireless solutions or is there any other known solution?
It seems pointless having the cool music player of the ME if you have to use some 3rd party software just to go wire-free but then again you have the added bulk of a dongle otherwise.
Thoughts/experiences?
Cheers,
Chris

HI MATE THE NEW V4.0726.2.0.1 (26-6-07) HAS A2DP BUILT IN 😊 CANT CONFIRM THIS ALLTHOUGH I CAN CONFIRM THAT THE FIRMWARE SEEMS QUITE STABLE BEEN RUNNING IT 4 DAYS NOW ALL SEEMS GOOD 😊
HOPE THIS HELPS A BIT
I can confirm that using a Nokia BH-500 Bluetooth Stereo headset works perfectly with V4.0726.2.0.1 on a standard (non-ME) N73 device.
Audio quality can be a bit variable on phone calls (seems better when phoning land lines and mobiles not connected to Bluetooth headsets/car kits rather than other mobiles that are connected to Bluetooth headsets/car kits)
Some pauses in music when opening web pages, during email downloads, but it works really well otherwise.
Cheers guys - up to speed now (apart from losing TomTom with the 4.0726 upgrade.. grrrr).
Any experiences of the HS-12W headset?
Looks smart does that.
Seems that the audio drop outs I am seeing over Bluetooth are the bluetooth connection to BH-500 during music playback.
I see bluetooth icon loose the brackets around it for a split second, and then re-appear.
I'll reset the head set and see if that makes any difference, and report back.
Reset BH-500, removed the pairing from N73.
re-established the pairing, 1 pause after an hour of listening to music, so much, much better. Still no beep or idle state icon when performing a scheduled email download during music playback, as there was with older firmware. Bug!!!!
I don't know if this is of use, I have an N73 witht he updated firmware and use a BT headset from Sonorix (obh0110). I bought them through Expansys. Anyway I do get some drop out when the batteries are a bit low exp when near places with wireless networks. On the plus side music is crystal clear and bass is great. I'm almost impressed!!!
