Good place for N95 themes

The 2 best theme makers around at the moment (imo) are Babi (http://www.babinokia.com/) and P@sco (http://www.jaspp.net/). Bare in mind that as far as I know no-one has worked out how to animate their own icons, so installing a third party theme with new icons loses the animation when you 'mouse' over an icon. P@sco offers themes with the default Nokia animated icons, but that kind of defeats the object...

P@sco doesn't offer themes with animated default icons, they are only animated if you have the N95.

Yeah, I just assumed that everyone in this N95 forum had an N95...

Yeah but you said P@sco offers themes with animated icons,he does'nt,they're just animated if you have the N95.
I get what you mean but do you get what i mean?

Nope, I said P@asco's use the default N95 icons (if you download his 'default' versions). Anyway has anybody found any other good themes? Even links to just individual quality themes would be great - I haven't found anything by anyone else that impresses me much...

Default versions just have the default icons,it does'nt matter what handset they're on,default N95 icons are just the same asthe N73's,the N73 just does'nt have the animation option.
P@sco's default themes work on other QVGA handsets such as the N73,so your saying that when i had these themes on my N73 i had the default N95 icons,i dont think so.

*sigh* No, I said they use the default icons. Where did you think these default icons came from? They're just the default icons of your phone; I used the N95 as an example because this is an N95 forum, and a thread about N95 themes. I thought I'd try and keep it on topic but apparently that didn't work...

It came across as if you were saying that P@sco's N95 themes had their own default icons that were different from other default icons, thats the way it read to me.

Okay okay okay, lets f*uck this off and get back to the topic............Theme artists to check out also are......Ivanov,Atlantis/zeq and Alfa, these 3 can hold there own too!
And some of their themes are featured in the links in my sig  😉

Ahh... Did someone piss in the gene pool? No; I think some cretin took a dump in it.

How does such an aberration acquire an N series?!

+1 for IQ and psych tests for prospective purchasers.

WTF :con?

So those are the ONLY designers on Mobile Themes are they (hint, Symbian Themes has been part of "Mobile Themes" for over a year now)? Are you implying only those theme artists are worthwhile and to not bother with the rest?

Oh, and I think you've made a point of the links in "your signature" enough times already in this thread, don't you?

JW,why does this always happen, you always get a bee in your bonnett dont you.Your site gets thousands of more users then we do so what you got to worry about?
I was merely pointing out that those theme artists have their own sites so if that person was more into their themes then it would be better for them to go there.
Common sense i think
I have made a point of my sig TWICE,whats wrong in that, users are asking for themes and they can get them there.I'm only helping other users to get what they want,i dont get mass satisfaction from it or bundles of cash,i'm just trying to help!!!

'Symbian Themes has been part of "Mobile Themes" for over a year now'
As for this part, dont you think i know this.I've been going to your site for years web and the wap site.I can remember testing out the wap site for you when you changed it over to mobilethemes as there were problems with it,remember that,I was helping YOU,exactly what i'm trying to do with these people here!!!

I don't have a bee in my bonnet, mr g! I read my post back and admit it sounded harsher than I intended, so sorry about that.

Basically the point I was making is that you said, and I quote: "there's no need to go to Symbian Themes is there?" - effectively telling people to not bother with my site. I don't know how many visitors your site gets so I can't comment on the accuracy of your statement that I get thousands more visitors, but it's not really the point. You're telling people not to come to my site, which isn't really fair on me for the hard work that's gone into it, nor the thousands of other theme artists that use the site to distribute their themes.

Yeah, you're trying to help out and I acknowledge that, and it's good to see. But people can see your site in your signature (as well as your avatar!) and you've made a point of it twice, so really it was just a reminder that people visiting this thread should now be well aware of your site without the need for you to make another potential post about it.

Regarding the "part of Mobile Themes" sentence, that wasn't actually directed at you although it may seem like it was (sorry about that). I'm just making a general point that the site's URL is now http://symbian.mobilethemes.com and not the http://www.symbianthemes.com URL that keeps being posted.

Anyway, sorry for the harsh tone in the first message, it wasn't intentional.

All friends again now? 😃

No worries JW,i frequent your site and forum so i would never say to anyone not to go there.
And i did'nt mean to cause any offence to your site, your crew (elton @ST) and all the theme creators, they all do a great job in keeping us theme freaks happy.

I see your point about the avatar and sig,i'll change the avatar as it is a bit too in your face.

:icon14: 😉

Glad the misunderstanding has been sorted 😉

Incidentally, following on from my earlier message about Symbian Themes => Mobile Themes, the actual Symbian Themes branding will be removed completely in the not-too-distant future, so that's another reason to use the MT url and not the ST one as when the changeover happens the ST url will be decommissioned.

😊
