N73 - Upadted firmware now GPRS icon always on!?

Morning All,

Yesterday I updated my firmware to the latest o2 one from NSU. I know I should have gone unbranded, but couldn't be bothered faffing around with product codes. (I'll tell you the firmware version in a mo).

Anyway, I now have a couple of problems.

Under my reception indicator the GPRS icon/indicator is now ALWAYS on!? I'm pretty sure it isn't transferring data, and if I look in task manager nothing is running.
But, this is still concerning me. Anyone any ideas why this is the case? And know how to turn it off?

Also, when trying to install some apps and themes, right at the end of installing I get, 'certificate expired' and the install fails. I have software installation set as 'all' and online certif. check as 'off'.
Any ideas?

Thanks all 😊

Yay 😊

Nice one mate - that did it. Spent ages looking through all the settings yesterday - can't believe I missed it.

Cheers :icon14:

So, next question relating to this.

From reading on this forum looks like I need to do a 3 finger reset to get my apps/themes to re-install properly.

If I back up to my memory card, do this reset - will I then be able to restore from my memory card or will that be lost too?

Thanks all 😊

Maybe, not always it works. The best backup is with PCSuite, from Phone to PC. Then format the phone and restore the phone content from PC.
